Passionate about helping you grow and heal

Dr. Laura McKee, PhD, LPC-S

With over a decade of professional counseling experience, Dr. McKee loves helping others make positive changes in their lives and relationships. She is passionate about equipping clients with tools to experience healing and freedom from past wounds that negatively impact the present, anxiety, stress, depression, and unhealthy relationship dynamics because she believes that healing and restoration in every area of life is possible.

As a professional Christian counselor, Dr. McKee’s approach to therapy is grounded in a Biblical worldview as she provides personalized, compassionate care paired with practical strategies that lead to freedom. Her expertise and training as an advanced mental health clinician helps clients better understand their thoughts, feelings and beliefs, identify and overcome obstacles, grow in their relationships, and experience healing. Dr. McKee’s background in Christian education and ministry also helps clients incorporate their faith throughout the therapy process. If you’re ready to take your next step in understanding how to break free from the mental mess and move forward with strength, she is ready to partner with you in your journey towards change.

Dr. McKee received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Christian Ministries from Oral Roberts University, Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, and her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Grand Canyon University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and Louisiana and is also a certified Prepare/Enrich facilitator for premarital and marriage counseling. In addition to counseling, Dr. McKee serves as an adjunct counseling faculty member at LeTourneau University and Christ for the Nations Institute. She also regularly speaks at large events, staff trainings, conferences, and churches about the intersection of mental health and faith.

Outside of counseling and teaching, she can often be found reading, listening to podcasts at 1.5 speed, serving at her local church, visiting local coffee shops, and exploring new places with her husband and daughter.
